Supreme Court confirmations were always the bitter partisan rancor that surrounds the fight over President Biden’s nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson. The confirmation votes for Justices Antonin Scalia, the most prominent conservative jurist on the court for the last quarter century, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, his counterpart on the left, were nothing like the Jackson furor.
