Olney & College Park, Maryland Storm Damage: July 12 — Team Coverage

Dozens of families will be displaced after a severe line of storms rolled through Olney, Md. Tuesday afternoon.

Montgomery County Fire Chief Scott Goldstein said at least 20 to 30 homes were damaged when the storm blew through Montgomery County between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The City of College Park also reported major damage throughout the city Tuesday evening, including one home that was largely destroyed while a man was inside. The widespread damage came from severe weather that hit Prince George’s County.

The home the man was injured in is on Lakeland Road. The storm appeared to split it in two, sending what was once the second level crashing to the ground below.
