Harris, Pelosi, Lawmakers Join Activists And King Family To Call For Voting Rights On MLK Day

Vice President Harris, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Martin Luther King III joined lawmakers and advocates calling on the U.S. Senate to pass voting rights legislation on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Harris delivered remarks to the congregation at Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church remotely from Washington. Pelosi and other lawmakers joined voting rights activists for a march in Washington before rallying in support of two voting rights bills stalled in the upper chamber.
