Halloween will feature more clouds than the sun with milder higher in the mid and upper 60s.
On Monday, our next system approaching from the southwest will bring scattered light showers developing through the day and may affect trick-or-treaters a bit, but it won’t be a washout. Some heavier pockets of rain and even some embedded thunder will be possible overnight while most sleep.
Showers end predawn Tuesday with gradually clearing skies and milder temperatures. The outlook generally looks dry and warmer than average with daily afternoon highs on either side of 70 degrees. (Season average is now 64 degrees.)
Weather for early in-person voting in the DMV this week will be mild around 70 degrees and dry under partly to mostly sunny skies. Also, just a reminder that one week from Monday we will have fallen back to EST (Sunday 2 a.m.) and the sun will rise at 6:42 a.m. and set at 5:02 p.m., versus today rising at 7:34 a.m. and setting at 6:08 p.m.
