Damaging storms, tornadoes sweep across Deep South

A severe weather outbreak marched across the South on March 30, damaging homes and downing power lines. Over 180,000 customers were without power in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee. Kentucky and Indiana, mainly due to high winds. The Weather Service had received 183 reports of damaging winds and 25 reports of tornadoes.
