Commanders rookie RB Brian Robinson Jr. shot in attempted robbery or carjacking

Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. was shot Sunday in an apparent attempted robbery or attempted carjacking, D.C. police have confirmed to 7News.

Police say that Robinson suffered two gunshot wounds after the shooting in the 1000 block of H Street NE. Police are looking for two suspects.

New details are trickling in about the shooting of Commanders’ rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. in an apparent attempted robbery or attempted carjacking.

Apparently, Robinson was leaving a business on H Street when an armed teenager accosted him, Metropolitan Police Department Chief Robert Contee told 7News Monday morning. Contee also added that Robinson was struggling with one of the teens when another other shot him twice in the leg.
