Two men are dead and three others were wounded after a shooting in northwest Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

The call came in at 12:49 p.m. on O Street Northwest at North Capitol Street, police said.

Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police Ashan Benedict gave an update on the shooting shortly before 2:30 p.m.
