11 TV Hill examines both the grassroots and citywide effort to find meaningful employment for the city’s dozens of squeegee workers. From the city’s plan to the grassroots efforts, the Squeegee Collaborative, a group of Baltimore’s city and business leaders, is on a mission to expand opportunities for those on the corners. Donte Johnson, general manager of Hotel Revival in Mount Vernon, is among those leading the initiative to hire former squeegee workers. But he said that alone will not solve the problem.
